Illustrator awesomeness

For my project, that I've been chatting about in all my posts, I decided to change up my client. I now chose Bob Staake and Seth Macfarlane.
Bob Staake is very famous for his illustrations, which have been published in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and clients include Nickelodeon, Sony, and many more. He also has written 42 books! He's just awesome.

Copy Art

So on this current project that I'm working on and have mentioned in past posts, we have to chose a copy art image for the entourage instead of drawing it ourselves. I've been doing a little looking around on the web and playing with photoshop a bit to create some backgrounds. I'm thinking of placing my home in either Argentina (Nates' current residence) or Hollywood.
Nate Williams original art
I cut the background from it to see what it would look like. Nate and Seth would be writing a cartoon so i think this would be fitting and fun!
This is a photo is of Argentina, Nate Williams current residence. (I would cut out the sky and horses). I like how it's more of a rural setting.

I think this would look really cool for the entourage behind my structure.

Room Photos

For my birthday, my mom had the idea to blow up and frame one of my pictures so I could hang it in my room this summer. I like these three, but I will probably take some more and see how they turn out. Maybe a more summer-y one?

Final Project

So, for our final project in one of my design classes we have to create a residential/retail space for two people. These two people have to be an artist and a writer. I will post more about it later, but right now I'm in the process of try ing to decide what people I want to choose. I really love this artist/illustrator Nate Williams, here's some of his work, and you may have seen it before his stuff is pretty popular.

You can find go to his website at www.n8w.com

For my author I found a really neat childrens' book author, Laurel Snyder. I figured the two of them could collaborate in this house and write childrens' books together.

I'm still trying to research more and make up my mind. If anyone has any input on favorite authors, please tell!

My new Photoshop creations!

I have been messing around with Photoshop actions and croppings lately, so for my FIRST blog post EVER i'll share some of my newest creations.

I call this one Haley and the dinosaur, we actually found this dino in Dinosaur Gardens in Ossineke, MI.
This is my roommate Melanie in a field, in reality i took a picture of her in front of our dorm last year, this background is much more pleasant.
